Bad News for Google Search Console Reports

05/20/2019

A recent data outage has affected many user accounts inside Google’s Search Console in the month of April. This outage took place April 9-25th and was corrected April 26th. Google has said this missing data is related to last month’s indexing bug that occurred. Although the problem was rectified, the data was unrecoverable and the data from April 26 was inputted for the dates that were corrupted. It appearears thats the Perfromance report is not affected by this data issue however. This information is important to keep in mind when running any monthly reports for clients and be sure to add a note about the missing and incorrect data.  You can find out more about the outage from the Search Engine Journal online.
